Travelling Object
A commission from SKOR, Atelier Zuidvleugel and Province South Holland.
The idea of “Traveling Object” came out from the things which are bound to disappear.
Inspired by the lack of space in The Netherlands and the recycled materials which are collected underneath the ground; one of those are the plastic bags.
The artwork starts to grow by collecting the used plastic bags from people.
256 people contribute to the project, which became a big ball made by all the participants.
At the exhibition space (Museum Lakenhal, Leiden), “Travelling Object” was growing everyday by the spectators interaction. The ball continues growing nowadays.
The Thinkers
3D video, bench made out of reused materials
Auditorium KABK, Den Haag
The Thinkers The Thinkers The Thinkers
The Thinkers The Thinkers
This work is inspired by “The Thinker” from Rodin.
We are “The Thinkers”; normal people dressing whatever clothes, sitting on benches at the park; having irrelevant thoughts.

One person comes, seats in a bench for a while, after a few minutes is gone and again another comes.
Those people are connected with each other through the “Collective Thought”, which is contained in the inanimate object where they are sitting, the bench.
Collective Pagina
words without meaning on paper, plastic bags and lights
KABK-Royal Academy of Arts
Collective Pagina Collective Pagina Collective Pagina
Social reality and the frustrated feelings of ordinary people are written on pages made out of used plastic, old paper and nylon.
By lightening phrases with a sad content, each verse starts to be the container of “light hope”.
Each word is being changed, deconstructed until the word has no meaning.
Narcissus
Experimental video / performance
candle wax, beamers, video loop, hot plates, sauce pans
Narcissus Narcissus Narcissus
Narcissus Narcissus
When Narcissus saw his reflection in the water, he felt in love with himself.
The purpose of Narcissus in this case is to find reflection of the love in ourselves through others.
One projection is in blue paraffin and another in red paraffin; they are slowly getting melted by the heat of a cooking pan.
When the faces are melting, their reflections appears slowly at the ceiling creating the metaphoric Narcissus.
